Your capabilities are genetic, you're never going to pick up an inherent ability. You pick up skills within your ability and whether or not you're any good at them depends on your inherent abilities. There is no such thing as a skill that exists outside of the system of inherent abilities, if you do not have the inherent ability you're never going to master this skill, the best you could ever become is functional.
